We focus on the styles that make up the backbone of your wardrobe: The button-down, the T-shirt, the turtleneck, the bodysuit and more, because busy lives require an uncomplicated closet. From workdays to weekends, we consider all those moments—big events to the in-betweens—during our design process. Using superior European fabrics and a focused color palette, these are effortless pieces that still feel exciting to wear.
Founded by industry veterans Karen Drexler, Susan Woo and Alex Drexler, Arlo Mott was created as a foundational wardrobe to sustain busy lifestyles.
Behind the name
The Arlo Mott name is deeply personal to our founders, much like the collection itself. “Arlo”, which means “strength and resilience,” was what our co-founders Alex and Karen wanted to name their daughter (they eventually landed on “Frankie,”) but the spirit of the name is reflected in each piece of our line. “Mott” references Mott Street in downtown Manhattan, a street once known for the discovery of young brands. It is an homage to our founders’ ties to New York, both past and present.
